It all began with a story of Dad and his 'Hope For Heaven': A post from my FB Sept 26, 2018
Today I heard of another friend with a loved one fighting the awful disease, cancer...and I wanted to share something...something about my dad, something about HOPE. 
When dad received his "final" diagnosis, it was awful...the cancer was so bad they didn't know how he was even still breathing, they even laughed, amazed...they gave him 4 months to live.  When we left the Dr office, my dad said straight away, "Heather, I'm not afraid to die, I BELIEVE in the LORD, you know that...but I'm just not ready, it's not my time yet".
And you know what?  He didn't die in 3,6,9 months...he went on to live 4 more AMAZING years!  Dad fought and fought hard, but it wasn't just the cancer he fought...he fought to teach me, my kiddos, my ex-husband, his family, his friends...he taught us to BELIEVE, to be strong, to NEVER GIVE UP...but also NOT TO FEAR...dad didn't fear the end, he just wanted to be prepared...he studied daily, the Bible, books on Jesus, CDs on Jesus (lol, I'm Still finding one thing or another) he wanted to learn all he could about God and Jesus and how to be that forgiving, kind- hearted person he already was!  But his HOPE...he always had Hope, not just for one more day here with us, but most of all HOPE FOR HEAVEN...
I pray that all of those whose lives are impacted by this awful disease and the families that love you, I pray that you don't give up...that you keep on fighting...that you NEVER LOSE HOPE-HOPE for one more day and most of all HOPE FOR HEAVEN...
After all, isn't Heaven what our FAITH is really all about?
